Zach Proffitt is a self-taught photographer and alternative process printmaker based in Colorado’s Front Range, working in photogravure and cyanotype and contributing to limited-edition fine-press books in collaboration with private presses.

His current project, developed between 2023 and 2025, Wuduland, is an experimental photography series created through long exposure, exploring the natural landscape and the fragile threshold between perception and reality. The photographs reveal how familiar spaces can disintegrate into uncanny forms, leaving only traces of their physical origin—not through manipulation, but through the limits of vision itself. Select prints from the series will appear in a forthcoming fine-press book from No Reply Press.
